Bonaventura Producing FLAMEL

Mega producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura is traveling back to his fantasy roots by snapping up the rights to produce Michael Scott's six-part fantasy series The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel. Variety reports the deal returns di Bonaventura to familiar turf as he was a key player in getting the lucrative Harry Potter franchise off the ground as production president at Warner Bros. in 1999 when the studio bought the rights to J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books...

Director Zack Snyder has added four big names to his upcoming animated fantasy, with The Hollywood Reporter saying that Sam Neill, Geoffrey Rush, Hugo Weaving and David Wenham will topline the voice cast of his feature, Guardians of Ga'hoole. The four actors join fellow co-stars Emily Barclay, Abbie Cornish, Emilie de Ravin, Ryan Kwanten and Jay Laga'aia, as well as English actors Miriam Margolyes...
