iPhone VS. HTC Touch Flow Phones (Win. Mobile 6)

Okay I have tried to explain and even argued with people over my point of view on the popularity of the iPhone. Weither it is "Amazing Technology!" or just a product of "Social Enginering". Let's take for instance MY phone versus the iPhone, I own a AT&T (same as the iPhone) HTC Fuze. First off the Fuze is basically the "Dimond" only it has a Full QWERTY slide out keyboard. Oh wait! Score one Point above iPhone LOL I'm in the lead :P
Okay so I did a search for "iPHONE Features and how to use them", and found this page:
http://www.articlesbase.com/cell-phones-articles/3g-iphone-features-upto-date-492912.html
the first page in the search results that was not a page about spacific application you have to add to the phone, and one blog article that ended complaining they didn't get service in their area.

Below is the List of features stated in the article Link above, with the comparable features on an HTC Touch Flow based phone in [ ] :

Phone Calls - with 3G iPhone, making a call is as simple as tapping a name or number. All your contacts appear in a list you scroll through with a flick of your finger.
[The touch Flow has a Flip Book style "Favorite Conacts" tab, just flip or scroll to the person and tap to call! You can put a Photo of the Contact for each favorite and the name and number show under the image, meaning if you want to give someone a number from your phone you just flip to it or use the scroll select on the right and read off the number.]
And Visual Voicemail plays your messages in any order you want, just like email.
[Okay so the Touch Flow does not have "Visual Voicemail" (this is another thing about Apple that perturbs me to no end! Naming things that really don't fit what the feature does -_-)]

Email - on 3G iPhone looks and works just like email on your computer. With support for popular email servers and providers - including MobileMe, Microsoft Exchange, Yahoo! Mail, Google Gmail, and AOL - and most industry-standard IMAP or POP mail systems, iPhone puts email in your pocket.
[UMmmmm every PDA Phone does E-Mail, and that should mean all those "Services" are accessable... or it simply doesn't REALLY do E-Mail. Now the part about "looks and works just like email on your computer" doesn't that depend on if you use a PC or Mac? If you commonly use the Web Interface or a software program to access the service?]

Internet - 3G iPhone features Safari - the most advanced web browser ever on a portable device. And with 3G and Wi-Fi, you can browse the real Internet really fast. iPhone also syncs your bookmarks from your PC or Mac and has Google and Yahoo! search built in.
[The HTC Fuze uses Opera Mobile that alows you to browse "The Real Web" (APPLE!!!!!!! You've done it again! The "Web" is the the Internet! People seriously, the Internet is made up of so many different types of protocalls and data, and different ways to view it... Never mind >_< I'm not gonna do it... I'm moving on...). As for built in Search Opera has a convenient drop down Search pain that loads if you start to type something in the address bar the doesn't recognise as a URL.]

iPod - With its beautiful 3.5-inch widescreen display and Multi-Touch controls, iPhone is also one amazing iPod. Browse your music in Cover Flow and watch widescreen video with the touch of a finger.
[Okay so the Fuze has a smaller screen, BUT you have to realise that in most cases 15% to 30% of the display on the iPhone ends up being used by Controls, Keybord, Navigation, Menus, and such! The Touch Flow phones also don't have Multi-Touch controls... UMmm so I'm using more fingers to do what one COULD do, but I just wanna look COOL playing with my phone. As for the Music the HTC phone has a flip book style interface that shows the album art and such of music on the phone. Not to mention that the fact that the Phone is Mobile 6 so you don't have to use any external proprietary software to get the music ON the phone! In fact you could drag all your MP3s onto a Micro-SD card stick it in the phone and play every track. As for Video the HTC uses by default the WMP Mobile that alows you to play full screen videos (WOW! Just like the iPhone)]

SMS - With a chat-style view and an intelligent Multi-Touch keyboard that predicts and suggests words as you type, iPhone texts smarter than any smartphone.
[WTF "iPhone texts smarter than any smartphone"? Really? The I phone ISN'T a smart phone? where is the "the" before the proper name of a product? Okay this might be a personal preference, but I like to type ALL of my message and not have to look at the screen every other second to see if my words have been mauled by some program that doesn't know what I want to say.]

Maps with GPS - Find your location, get directions, and see traffic all from your phone. Maps on iPhone 3G combines GPS, Wi-Fi, and cell tower location technology with the Multi-Touch interface to create the best mobile map application ever.
[Okay this blogger must be on the Pay-Roll or something >_<... Again with the Multi-Touch thing! Okay so I'm driving and not supposed to be even be messing with a phone, but need to see where the heck I am... I gotta zoom in! Okay.. UMmmm I don't have a way to hold the phone and Zoom in at the same time!!! As for GPS I don't know what app iPhone uses, but unless you hack it or any AT&T phone YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE! That said ^_^ I use Goolge Maps and MSN Live Search for GPS, both work well depending on what I'm trying to find or if I just need info. Not to mention Google just realised "Latitude" which is a way to GPS track your Friends!]

iTunes on 3G iPhone - Buy music over the air from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPhone. Find a Wi-Fi hot spot and tap the iTunes button. Then take your pick from more than 6 million songs.
[First a reference to what I said before... You can put ANY MP3, WMA, or WAV, file on your phone without special software... and you can get it from ANYWHERE.... No comment on Pricing or "Copyright Management" ^_-]

App Store - The App Store is coming soon. And when it is here, you will find applications in every category, from games to business, education to entertainment, finance to health and fitness, productivity to social networking. These applications have been designed to take advantage of iPhone technologies such as Multi-Touch, the accelerometer, wireless, and GPS. And some are even free. You will download them wirelessly and be able to use them right away.
[iPhone "Apps" seem to be the biggest thing since sliced bread lately, so having a way to get them right from your phone is a BIG convenience! So... Here's a trick to getting free software for your Mobile 6 phone! Go to the Opera Browser, tap the address bar, select the search box and type:
XXXX mobile 6 inurl:.cab
With either the type of software or the name of the software in place of XXXX, you'll get a list of pages on sites that have CAB files relating to the software you are wanting. CAB files install right on your phone! This may not always work, but hey there's not an iPhone App for everything yet either.]

Calender - iPhone makes it easy to make plans. The built-in Calendar goes with you anywhere, works with a tap, and syncs seamlessly to the calendar on your computer.
[Well Windows Mobile allows you to Sync with Google Calenders, meaning you can integrate multiple calenders into one ca lander and have it sync to your phone. In other words you could be at ANY computer with net access, Change, Import, or Remove your appointments, and have it synced on your phone.]

YouTube - iPhone keeps you entertained with a YouTube application that opens right from the Home screen, so you can watch YouTube wherever you are. Videos load fast over 3G or Wi-Fi. Find a video you like? Bookmark it or share it with a friend.
[Okay this one you do have to take a few extra steps to do... You have to open your browser, go to m.youtube.com, log-in, and then find and watch the videos you want too. Oh wait! that's just the first time :P If you bookmark m.youtube.com, all you have to do is pick it from your favorites list on the Web tab, and then start finding videos to watch. Clicking "Watch Video" opens the stream in WMP.]

Camera - With a built-in camera and an advanced photo application, iPhone is the most photo-friendly phone ever. It takes snapshots, automatically syncs photos with your PC or Mac, displays albums with the flick of a finger, and posts pictures directly to a MobileMe Gallery.
[My phone has a 3mpx camera and a photo "Flip Book" and a gallery, as well as a edit feature. As for the Syncing and Sending stuff... That is actually a little scary!!! Sometimes you DON'T want it too easy to send pictures from your phone to your PC, or the Net... Believe me I know! The Fuze does have a Send feature that comes up when you take photos, and allows you to SMS, or E-Mail the photo.]

Stocks, Weather and Notes - Get stock quotes and weather reports with a tap. Use Notes to jot down information you want to keep with you, remember for later, or share via email.
[DARN IT! Only Weather on the Fuze... No Stock quotes... Notes???? Really that's a feature?]

Okay so suffice it to say I think I very much covered all the topics that were simple stated in advertising lingo on some blog about the iPhone being so wonderful.

Now it's up to you to comment :P

NASA moon bombing violates space law

NASA moon bombing violates space law & may cause conflict with lunar ET/UFO civilizations

Commentary: The planned October 9, 2009 bombing of the moon by a NASA orbiter that will bomb the moon with a 2-ton kinetic weapon to create a 5 mile wide deep crater as an alleged water-seeking and lunar colonization experiment, is contrary to space law prohibiting environmental modification of celestial bodies. The NASA moon bombing, a component of the LCROSS mission, may also trigger conflict with known extraterrestrial civilizations on the moon as reported on the moon in witnessed statements by U.S. astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong, and in witnessed statements to NSA (National Security Agency) photos and documents regarding an extraterrestrial base on the dark side of the moon. If the true intent of the LCROSS mission moon bombing is a hostile act by NASA against known extraterrestrial civilizations and settlements on the moon, then NASA and by extension the U.S. government are guilty of aggressive war which is the most serious of war crimes under the U.N. Charter and the Geneva Conventions, to which the U.S. is subject. The U.N. Outer Space Treaty, which the U.S. has ratified, requires that “ The moon and other celestial bodies shall be used by all States Parties to the Treaty exclusively for peaceful purposes. The establishment of military bases, installations and fortifications, the testing of any type of weapons and the conduct of military manoeuvres on celestial bodies shall be forbidden.” 98 nations have ratified and 125 nations have signed the U.N. Outer Space Treaty.NASA’s LCROSS (Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite) missionThe NASA LCROSS (Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite) mission, which departed on Earth on June 18, 2009. According to one report, “Flying over the moon's southern hemisphere, LCROSS will use its high-precision instruments, as well as close-up images of the terrain gathered by the lunar orbiter, to seek out a crater just shallow enough and dark enough to be a prime bombing target.“There, acting as what the Ames team calls its "shepherding spacecraft," LCROSS will guide an empty Centaur rocket weighing two tons toward its target. The rocket will crash into the crater at 5,600 mph, creating a new crater - perhaps as large as 5 miles wide. The crash is scheduled to occur Oct. 9.”The two-ton Centaur rocket qualifies as a space-based kinetic weapon. The reason alleged by NASA for the mission is that “the [LCROSS} probes will map possible landing sites and search for water sources that could be used by a future lunar colony.”According to NASA, “The Mission Objectives of the Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS) include confirming the presence or absence of water ice in a permanently shadowed crater at the Moon’s South Pole. The identification of water is very important to the future of human activities on the Moon. LCROSS will excavate the permanently dark floor of one of the Moon’s polar craters with two heavy impactors in 2009 to test the theory that ancient ice lies buried there. The impact will eject material from the crater’s surface to create a plume that specialized instruments will be able to analyze for the presence of water (ice and vapor), hydrocarbons and hydrated materials.”

U.S. astronauts, NASA employees, Soviet scientists, NSA confirm the extraterrestrial presence on the moonThere are confirmed reports of an extraterrestrial presence on the moon, both from U.S. astronauts who have visited the moon, from NASA employees, from Soviet scientists and observers of the NASA moon visits, and from witnessed NSA (National Security Agency) reports on a moon based on the far side of the moon. One report states that, “In a 2006 television documentary, ‘Apollo 11: The Untold Story,’ Buzz Aldrin admitted for the first time publicly that the astronauts saw UFOs on their trip to the Moon, but they were not allowed to discuss this information on the live audio feed to NASA. He stated that he felt it would have caused a ‘panic.’”Other research on witnessed corroboration of U.S. astronaut sightings of an extraterrestrial presence on the Moon states, “According to hitherto unconfirmed reports, both Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin saw UFOs shortly after their historic landing on the Moon in Apollo 11 on 21 July 1969. I remember hearing one of the astronauts refer to a "light" in or on a carter during the television transmission, followed by a request from mission control for further information. Nothing more was heard.”“According to a former NASA employee Otto Binder, unnamed radio hams with their own VHF receiving facilities that bypassed NASA's broadcasting outlets picked up the following exchange:“NASA: What's there? Mission Control calling Apollo 11...“Apollo: These ‘Babies’ are huge, Sir! Enormous! OH MY GOD! You wouldn't believe it! I'm telling you there are other spacecraft out there, lined up on the far side of the crater edge! They're on the Moon watching us!“In 1979, Maurice Chatelain, former chief of NASA Communications Systems confirmed that Armstrong had indeed reported seeing two UFOs on the rim of a crater. ‘The encounter was common knowledge in NASA,’ he revealed, ‘but nobody has talked about it until now.’“Soviet scientists were allegedly the first to confirm the incident. ‘According to our information, the encounter was reported immediately after the landing of the module,’ said Dr. Vladimir Azhazha, a physicist and Professor of Mathematics at Moscow University. ‘Neil Armstrong relayed the message to Mission Control that two large, mysterious objects were watching them after having landed near the moon module. But his message was never heard by the public-because NASA censored it.’“According to another Soviet scientist, Dr. Aleksandr Kazantsev, Buzz Aldrin took color movie film of the UFOs from inside the module, and continued filming them after he and Armstrong went outside. Dr. Azhazha claims that the UFOs departed minutes after the astronauts came out on to the lunar surface.“Maurice Chatelain also confirmed that Apollo 11's radio transmissions were interrupted on several occasions in order to hide the news from the public. Before dismissing Chatelain's sensational claims, it is worth noting his impressive background in the aerospace industry and space program. His first job after moving from France was as an electronics engineer with Convair, specializing in telecommunications, telemetry, and radar. In 1959 he was in charge of an electromagnetic research group, developing new radar and telecommunications systems for Ryan. One of his eleven patents was an automatic flights to the Moon. Later, at North American Aviation, Chatelain was offered the job of designing and building the Apollo communications and data-processing systems.“Chatelain claims that ‘all Apollo and Gemini flights were followed, both at a distance and sometimes also quite closely, by space vehicles of extraterrestrial origin-flying saucers, or UFOs, if you want to call them by that name. Every time it occurred, the astronauts informed Mission Control, who then ordered absolute silence.’ He goes on to say:“I think that Walter Schirra aboard Mercury 8 was the first of the astronauts to use the code name 'Santa Claus' to indicate the presence of flying saucers next to space capsules. However, his announcements were barely noticed by the general public.“It was a little different when James Lovell on board the Apollo 8 command module came out from behind the moon and said for everybody to hear:'PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT THERE IS A SANTA CLAUS.'“Even though this happened on Christmas Day 1968, many people sensed a hidden meaning in those words."

NSA photos, documents of an extraterrestrial base on the dark side of the moonFormer USAF U.S. Sgt. Karl Wolfe, a Disclosure Project witness, describes photos, documents of extraterrestrial bases on the dark side of the moon that he witnessed at the NSA (National Security Agency), in the 1960s. One report states that “Sgt Wolfe was working with Tactical Air Command at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia in 1965. There, he was assigned to the lunar orbital project with the National Security Agency where he met an airman who confided in him that they had discovered bases in the far side of the moon.”Sgt Wolfe’s Disclosure Project testimony, in which he states that he is willing to testify under oath before the U.S. Congress, can be seen in the video below. One account states, “The airman told him (Wolfe) that all of the NASA photographs were sent to Langley, where they were enhanced, and eventually made into photographs to be sent to and studied by the different branches of the military. He was also told why security was of the utmost importance at the lab on this particular day-recent enhanced imagery had clearly shown structures on the far side of the Moon. These structures were definitely not created by natural forces-they were made by intelligent beings.“’We discovered,’ the airman said, ‘a base on the back side of the Moon.’Wolfe was in no way prepared for what he had just been told. When he airman saw Wolfe nearly shaking in disbelief, he reiterated:“’Yes, a base on the dark side of the Moon.’“Although Wolfe had not actually been told that some alien intelligence had made the aforementioned structures, who else could it have been? Although Russia had flown unmanned vessels around to the far side, no landing had been made, and the resources and technology needed to build a station there were far beyond that of Russia at the time. Had they made a landing on the Moon, the entire world would have known about it. And Wolfe knew America was still years from a Moon landing.“His anxiety reached a new level. He was looking at, and being told about, something that he should not have seen or known about. He was actually afraid of being arrested and a court martial. He only wanted to finish his job, and get out of there, and forget the whole incident. He would finish the repair he was called to do, but he could never forget what he had seen that day at Langley. He would tell not a soul for 30 years.“His release from the military also required that he not leave the United States for five years. This was a condition of his security status. He also was sworn to not reveal anything he had seen while performing his duties in the military. Wolfe would eventually put a report on what he had seen on video, which is now available on the Internet. There have also been several ex-NASA employees who have come forward telling of their experiences in air brushing structures out of NASA photographs of the Moon.”
NASA’s lunar bombing violates space law and must be stoppedNASA’s use of a 2-ton empty Centaur rocket as a kinetic weapon violates space law in multiple ways and must be stopped, in flight or in lunar orbit, which the LCROSS lunar orbiter reaches on Tuesday June 23, 2009.The bombing of the moon with a kinetic weapon to create a 5 mile crater is a per se violation of the U.N. Outer Space Treaty, which the U.S. has ratified, irrespective of its being designed as part of an experiment related to lunar colonization. The U.N. Outer Space Treaty (Article III) provides that “States Parties to the Treaty shall carry on activities in the exploration and use of outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies, in accordance with international law, including the Charter of the United Nations.”The Moon Treaty (Agreement Governing The Activities Of States On The Moon And Other Celestial Bodies (1979)) addresses and bans the specific activity bombing of the moon carried out unilaterally by the U.S. The Moon Treaty prohibits disruption of the environment of the Moon. The LCROSS bombing constitutes a disruption of the delicate balance of the lunar ecology. Article 7 of the Moon Treaty states:Article 7 of the Moon Treaty“1. In exploring and using the moon, States Parties shall take measures toprevent the disruption of the existing balance of its environment whetherby introducing adverse changes in that environment, by its harmfulcontamination through the introduction of extra-environmental matter orotherwise. States Parties shall also take measures to avoid harmfullyaffecting the environment of the earth through the introduction ofextraterrestrial matter or otherwise.“2. States Parties shall inform the Secretary-General of the UnitedNations of the measures being adopted by them in accordance withparagraph 1 of this article and shall also, to the maximum extentfeasible, notify him in advance of all placements by them of radio-activematerials on the moon and of the purposes of such placements.“3. States Parties shall report to other States Parties and to theSecretary-General concerning areas of the moon having special scientificinterest in order that, without prejudice to the rights of other StatesParties, consideration may be given to the designation of such areas asinternational scientific preserves for which special protectivearrangements are to be agreed upon in consultation with the competentbodies of the United Nations.”Although the U.S. has not ratified the Moon Treaty, 13 nations have, and it can be construed as a relevant international standard of what constitutes “international law” under the U.N. Outer Space Treaty. Is NASA’s LCROSS bombing of the moon a camouflaged attack or attempt to impose moon sovereignty by the U.S.?There is witnessed evidence, through the testimony of UASF SGT Karl Wolfe and through the statements of U.S. astronauts, NASA employees, former Soviet scientists that the U.S., and its agencies NASA and the NSA has had scientific evidence that the moon has extraterrestrial civilizations and present settlements on it for more than 40 years, since the 1960s.The U.S. has not attempted any public, peaceful diplomacy with the civilizations on the moon. In fact, the U.S. has imposed an embargo on public knowledge that settlements and an extraterrestrial presence exist on the moon. What is touted as a scientific experiment – the bombing of the moon – may in reality be an attempt to impose de facto U.S. sovereignty on the moon. Article II of the U.N. Outer Space Treaty, which the U.S. has signed, states: “Outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies, is not subject to national appropriation by claim of sovereignty, by means of use or occupation, or by any other means.”Moreover, the LCROSS bombing of the moon may be an intentional hostile act by the U.S. (which has know the moon is inhabited for at least 40 years by other civilizations), a kind of “shot across the bow” to mark turf against other intelligent civilizations on the moon. The U.N. Outer Space Treaty prohibits non-peaceful activities on the moon. Article IV states, “The moon and other celestial bodies shall be used by all States Parties to the Treaty exclusively for peaceful purposes. The establishment of military bases, installations and fortifications, the testing of any type of weapons and the conduct of military manoeuvres on celestial bodies shall be forbidden.”NASA’s LCROSS bombing of the moon must be stopped, while the lunar orbiter is in orbit, before the bombing occurs on October 9, 2009.

Mystery money turning up in gov’t office restrooms across Japan

Mystery money turning up in gov’t office restrooms across Japan
11 Jul 2007
Over the past several months, small stacks of envelopes, each containing a 10,000 yen bill (about $85) and a handwritten letter, have been turning up in the restrooms at prefectural offices across Japan. On July 11, officials announced the mystery money has been found in 33 different restrooms in government offices located in 15 prefectures — Hokkaido, Aomori, Miyagi, Akita, Niigata, Saitama, Chiba, Shizuoka, Tokyo, Osaka, Nara, Hyogo, Oita, Nagasaki and Miyazaki.
In every case where the money turns up, the 10,000 yen bills are each enclosed in separate envelopes with the words “payment” and “one envelope per person” written on them. The envelopes also include a handwritten message asking the finder to use the money to help pay for some sort of study or training.
In Tokyo, a stack of ten envelopes was found in the restroom on the first floor of the Tokyo city office on June 14. Elsewhere in the city, stacks of nine envelopes were found in the men’s restrooms at both the Kita and Itabashi ward offices, and a stack of ten was found in a restroom at the Shinjuku ward office.
According to officials in Shizuoka prefecture, where 200,000 yen (about $1,700) was discovered in the restrooms at the city and prefectural offices, each of the 20 accompanying letters written on rice paper featured slight differences in handwriting, indicating a single benefactor wrote each letter by hand.
The first known mystery money appeared in Sendai on April 9, where a stack of six envelopes was found in the first-floor men’s restroom of the city office.
All told, more than 2.8 million yen (more than $23,000) has been found in restrooms across Japan.

Many people would probably find this an irony, as those involved within the world of conspiracies, ghosts, and UFOs are generally considered to be so open-minded that they might as well be reclassified as vacuous. Aerogel: See-Through, Strong as Steel & Ligher than Air
Despite its incredibly low density, aerogel is one of the most powerful materials on the planet. It can support thousands of times its own weight, block out intense heat, cold and sound - yet it is 1,000 times less dense than glass, nearly as transparent and is composed of %99.8 air. The lowest-density silica-based aerogels are even lighter than air.
Despite its fragility in certain regards and its incredible lack of density, aerogel has amazing thermal, acoustical and electrical insulation properties as illustrated by the images here. A single one-pound block can also support half a ton of weight. NASA continues to find new space-based applications for this incredible material.
An aerogel window one inch thick has the effective insulative capacity of a ten-inch thick glass window system. While it is still expensive and has other limitations, this material - originally developed nearly a century ago but still undergoing experimentation - could prove to be one of the most influential materials of the 21st Century.
Aside from its other capabilities, aerogel also has amazing absorbing abilities. Some speculate it could be the future solution to oil spills. It is also being tested as a possible slow-release drug deliver system for potential human patients.
