iPhone VS. HTC Touch Flow Phones (Win. Mobile 6)

Okay I have tried to explain and even argued with people over my point of view on the popularity of the iPhone. Weither it is "Amazing Technology!" or just a product of "Social Enginering". Let's take for instance MY phone versus the iPhone, I own a AT&T (same as the iPhone) HTC Fuze. First off the Fuze is basically the "Dimond" only it has a Full QWERTY slide out keyboard. Oh wait! Score one Point above iPhone LOL I'm in the lead :P
Okay so I did a search for "iPHONE Features and how to use them", and found this page:
http://www.articlesbase.com/cell-phones-articles/3g-iphone-features-upto-date-492912.html
the first page in the search results that was not a page about spacific application you have to add to the phone, and one blog article that ended complaining they didn't get service in their area.

Below is the List of features stated in the article Link above, with the comparable features on an HTC Touch Flow based phone in [ ] :

Phone Calls - with 3G iPhone, making a call is as simple as tapping a name or number. All your contacts appear in a list you scroll through with a flick of your finger.
[The touch Flow has a Flip Book style "Favorite Conacts" tab, just flip or scroll to the person and tap to call! You can put a Photo of the Contact for each favorite and the name and number show under the image, meaning if you want to give someone a number from your phone you just flip to it or use the scroll select on the right and read off the number.]
And Visual Voicemail plays your messages in any order you want, just like email.
[Okay so the Touch Flow does not have "Visual Voicemail" (this is another thing about Apple that perturbs me to no end! Naming things that really don't fit what the feature does -_-)]

Email - on 3G iPhone looks and works just like email on your computer. With support for popular email servers and providers - including MobileMe, Microsoft Exchange, Yahoo! Mail, Google Gmail, and AOL - and most industry-standard IMAP or POP mail systems, iPhone puts email in your pocket.
[UMmmmm every PDA Phone does E-Mail, and that should mean all those "Services" are accessable... or it simply doesn't REALLY do E-Mail. Now the part about "looks and works just like email on your computer" doesn't that depend on if you use a PC or Mac? If you commonly use the Web Interface or a software program to access the service?]

Internet - 3G iPhone features Safari - the most advanced web browser ever on a portable device. And with 3G and Wi-Fi, you can browse the real Internet really fast. iPhone also syncs your bookmarks from your PC or Mac and has Google and Yahoo! search built in.
[The HTC Fuze uses Opera Mobile that alows you to browse "The Real Web" (APPLE!!!!!!! You've done it again! The "Web" is the the Internet! People seriously, the Internet is made up of so many different types of protocalls and data, and different ways to view it... Never mind >_< I'm not gonna do it... I'm moving on...). As for built in Search Opera has a convenient drop down Search pain that loads if you start to type something in the address bar the doesn't recognise as a URL.]

iPod - With its beautiful 3.5-inch widescreen display and Multi-Touch controls, iPhone is also one amazing iPod. Browse your music in Cover Flow and watch widescreen video with the touch of a finger.
[Okay so the Fuze has a smaller screen, BUT you have to realise that in most cases 15% to 30% of the display on the iPhone ends up being used by Controls, Keybord, Navigation, Menus, and such! The Touch Flow phones also don't have Multi-Touch controls... UMmm so I'm using more fingers to do what one COULD do, but I just wanna look COOL playing with my phone. As for the Music the HTC phone has a flip book style interface that shows the album art and such of music on the phone. Not to mention that the fact that the Phone is Mobile 6 so you don't have to use any external proprietary software to get the music ON the phone! In fact you could drag all your MP3s onto a Micro-SD card stick it in the phone and play every track. As for Video the HTC uses by default the WMP Mobile that alows you to play full screen videos (WOW! Just like the iPhone)]

SMS - With a chat-style view and an intelligent Multi-Touch keyboard that predicts and suggests words as you type, iPhone texts smarter than any smartphone.
[WTF "iPhone texts smarter than any smartphone"? Really? The I phone ISN'T a smart phone? where is the "the" before the proper name of a product? Okay this might be a personal preference, but I like to type ALL of my message and not have to look at the screen every other second to see if my words have been mauled by some program that doesn't know what I want to say.]

Maps with GPS - Find your location, get directions, and see traffic all from your phone. Maps on iPhone 3G combines GPS, Wi-Fi, and cell tower location technology with the Multi-Touch interface to create the best mobile map application ever.
[Okay this blogger must be on the Pay-Roll or something >_<... Again with the Multi-Touch thing! Okay so I'm driving and not supposed to be even be messing with a phone, but need to see where the heck I am... I gotta zoom in! Okay.. UMmmm I don't have a way to hold the phone and Zoom in at the same time!!! As for GPS I don't know what app iPhone uses, but unless you hack it or any AT&T phone YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE! That said ^_^ I use Goolge Maps and MSN Live Search for GPS, both work well depending on what I'm trying to find or if I just need info. Not to mention Google just realised "Latitude" which is a way to GPS track your Friends!]

iTunes on 3G iPhone - Buy music over the air from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPhone. Find a Wi-Fi hot spot and tap the iTunes button. Then take your pick from more than 6 million songs.
[First a reference to what I said before... You can put ANY MP3, WMA, or WAV, file on your phone without special software... and you can get it from ANYWHERE.... No comment on Pricing or "Copyright Management" ^_-]

App Store - The App Store is coming soon. And when it is here, you will find applications in every category, from games to business, education to entertainment, finance to health and fitness, productivity to social networking. These applications have been designed to take advantage of iPhone technologies such as Multi-Touch, the accelerometer, wireless, and GPS. And some are even free. You will download them wirelessly and be able to use them right away.
[iPhone "Apps" seem to be the biggest thing since sliced bread lately, so having a way to get them right from your phone is a BIG convenience! So... Here's a trick to getting free software for your Mobile 6 phone! Go to the Opera Browser, tap the address bar, select the search box and type:
XXXX mobile 6 inurl:.cab
With either the type of software or the name of the software in place of XXXX, you'll get a list of pages on sites that have CAB files relating to the software you are wanting. CAB files install right on your phone! This may not always work, but hey there's not an iPhone App for everything yet either.]

Calender - iPhone makes it easy to make plans. The built-in Calendar goes with you anywhere, works with a tap, and syncs seamlessly to the calendar on your computer.
[Well Windows Mobile allows you to Sync with Google Calenders, meaning you can integrate multiple calenders into one ca lander and have it sync to your phone. In other words you could be at ANY computer with net access, Change, Import, or Remove your appointments, and have it synced on your phone.]

YouTube - iPhone keeps you entertained with a YouTube application that opens right from the Home screen, so you can watch YouTube wherever you are. Videos load fast over 3G or Wi-Fi. Find a video you like? Bookmark it or share it with a friend.
[Okay this one you do have to take a few extra steps to do... You have to open your browser, go to m.youtube.com, log-in, and then find and watch the videos you want too. Oh wait! that's just the first time :P If you bookmark m.youtube.com, all you have to do is pick it from your favorites list on the Web tab, and then start finding videos to watch. Clicking "Watch Video" opens the stream in WMP.]

Camera - With a built-in camera and an advanced photo application, iPhone is the most photo-friendly phone ever. It takes snapshots, automatically syncs photos with your PC or Mac, displays albums with the flick of a finger, and posts pictures directly to a MobileMe Gallery.
[My phone has a 3mpx camera and a photo "Flip Book" and a gallery, as well as a edit feature. As for the Syncing and Sending stuff... That is actually a little scary!!! Sometimes you DON'T want it too easy to send pictures from your phone to your PC, or the Net... Believe me I know! The Fuze does have a Send feature that comes up when you take photos, and allows you to SMS, or E-Mail the photo.]

Stocks, Weather and Notes - Get stock quotes and weather reports with a tap. Use Notes to jot down information you want to keep with you, remember for later, or share via email.
[DARN IT! Only Weather on the Fuze... No Stock quotes... Notes???? Really that's a feature?]

Okay so suffice it to say I think I very much covered all the topics that were simple stated in advertising lingo on some blog about the iPhone being so wonderful.

Now it's up to you to comment :P
