At this stage, it's simply impossible to look at Avatar on its own merits. Years of build-up and some of the most arrogant hype in Hollywood history eliminate any chance of approaching it objectively. You either kow-tow to the ecstatic cries of a million masturbating fanboys or you become so disgusted by the sheer hubris of "this will change cinema forever"... |
